A few thoughts from El Cristal

  • If we follow the leading of the Spirit, we will be able to present ourselves appropriately before God.
  • The servants at the wedding in Cana would have felt desperate because of the lack of wine, but it gave Jesus an opportunity to work.
  • Nehemiah wept when he heard the news about Jerusalem because he knew that without walls and doors, very soon they would be without treasure.
  • Sometimes the enemy speaks lies to us, and sometimes he tells the truth, but he never talks to us about hope in Christ.
  • We don't want to just treat symptoms; we want to get to the root of the matter.
  • This testimony was given of a young brother worker: "He has a very eloquent spirit."
  • An uncontrolled tongue is only a symptom; the root is what is in the heart.  The solution is to submit ourselves to the heart of God.
  • We read more in the Bible of good things that the tongue has done than bad things.
  • Love helps us to keep from falling into temptation.
  • Uprooting and tearing down is part of God's care for us, so that he can plant and build up.
  • God sees the whole picture.
  • If we don't have fellowship with God, it's very easy to turn our backs in the day of battle.
  • We'd like to serve in such a way that it would invite others to worship.
  • When God is in first place, there is no confusion.
  • The treasure is in the field.  We will never find treasure, blessing, outside of the will of God.
  • Within the field, what is the will of God for my life?  En every part of the field, wherever God places us, there is treasure.
  • The future of all humanity depended on the obedience of Noah.
  • Waiting doesn't mean just standing around with our arms crossed.
  • The devil wants to put in us a critical spirit toward those who are weak.
  • We're each responsible for our own light.
  • Living in the past can rob us of today's joy.
  • If we want to keep our names in the book of life, we have to stay alive to God.
