Our first full day in Ipiales

We spent the previous night at Jorge and Ligia Rojas' home.

How you look for things when you don't want to get out from under the covers completely

Organizing

From the kitchen window, you can see down into the neighbors' "yards".

The yellow building in back of the house is known as the "bodega."  The workers held gospel meetings in this storage facility for several years after they first came to the area in January 2002.

Lunch at Johny and Sofía's
Washing dishes

Sofía (mamá) and Lina Sofía (hija/daughter)

All of us minus photographer Ookyoung

Back at Jorge and Ligia's, we made tacos for supper.  It was the first time for most, if not all, present to try said meal, and judging by how many leftovers there were, or were not, they were a hit.

This cow gives filtered water.

A quick photo tour of the rest of the main floor of the house while we wait for supper to be ready
Front door with living/dining room to the right
The bathroom is the door on the right.  The kitchen is to the right of where the photographer is standing (next to the bathroom), and the main dining room is behind.  The steps leading up to the bedrooms and laundry room is to the left of the front door.

The workers' room is straight up the stairs (the door with the yellow triangle on it).

Ready to eat!!!

Sra. Ligia was celebrating her birthday that day, so we got to share in the festivities.

And don Jorge's birthday was the following week.  So, why not just do all the celebrating together?!
I don't think he's praying; I believe he's making a wish.  :-)
