Kim's first trip to Puerres

On Thursdays, we have a noon Bible study with Nelly and Rosa.  They work construction in the little town of Puerres with one of our friends.  We usually allow an hour to get there, but it doesn't take that long in a private vehicle.  On this particular Thursday, Jairo and Deisy took us to the study.

Taking pictures out the window of a rather swift-moving vehicle isn't the easiest of tasks, but between the two of us, we managed to get a few good shots of the scenery.

This is where Nelly lives.  We used to study with her here but then moved the studies to a location closer to her worksite so she doesn't have to miss so much work to study with us.

The "squiggle" road makes the climb not quite so steep.

As we went past this poor man, one of his bags broke, and all of his wares began to fall, slowly but surely, to the ground.

We were about to stop and help him, but then someone else did, so we went on our way.

After our Puerres study, Jairo dropped us off at Jorge and Ligia's so we could reorganize our backpacks for another week of travel.  We took advantage of the empty house to fix ourselves a can of soup and a couple of boiled eggs.  Nice to give the stomach a little rest every once in a while!

We had supper and the night with Sra. Socorro.  This is her neighborhood.
