Sisakuna Lodge

After five or so hours on the road, we were delighted to arrive at our Mindo hotel on Thursday evening (July 7).  While perhaps not as overtly luxurious as our accommodations in Otavalo, our cabin at Sisakuna Lodge was quaint and comfortable.  The hotel staff was incredibly service-oriented, and the grounds were lush and well-kept.  The next couple of days look promising!

Karmen and I shared the "entrance room."

From our bedroom, you kept going into the kitchen/living area.  There was also a full bathroom just past the stairway leading to the second level.

That's the bathroom to the right of the stairs.

Mom and Dad's room
The upstairs bathroom is behind Mom and Dad's bedroom door.  (So, in order to get it, you have to close the door to the bedroom at least partway.)

Their room was quite spacious.

This cute little corner didn't have an occupant during our stay.  Kyle and Kalynn's bed was at the top of the stairway in this same open space - just to the left of where the person taking this picture is standing.  It seems we didn't actually get a picture of their spot.  :-)

Our view from the "dining room" window consisted primarily of the reception building, which also included a restaurant.
