Aguas Negras Special Meeting 2016 (29 junio)

None of us who were staying with Fabián and Esperanza had a clue how to get to the Special Meeting at Aguas Negras on Wednesday.  We were given instructions.  From the main street in Cascales, take a bus or a ranchera to the terminal in Lago Agrio.  From there take the bus to Aguas Negras and get off at the redondel.  The restaurant where we were all supposed to meet lunch before the meeting was some direction or other from that spot.  We should be able to find it no problem.  It should take about three hours to get there.  We left a  little before 8:30 figuring that should be enough time.  As it turned out, we should have left earlier.  By the time we had arrived in Aguas Negras (without getting lost, miraculously enough!), lunch was over, and everyone was heading to the meeting "building."  So Verónica, Mom and I had crackers for lunch.  There aren't a lot of friends in this particular area, but it's difficult for many of them to get to the Special Meeting at Lago Agrio on the weekend, at least for both days of meetings, so this midweek meeting has been arranged for them for several years now.  I would say that we were about forty or fifty people, though I'm horrible at making such estimates!  The two meetings were in a sort of community center pavilion - a large concrete pad covered by a roof but without walls.  This meant that there were plenty of distractions: the noise from the school across the street, curious passers-by, roaming dogs, and a few others that I have by now forgotten.  We did have good meetings in spite of everything that could have potentially been against, however.
