First stop: Hummingbirds (and a few other varieties)

Okay, so I am by no means a birdwatcher.  However, Mindo is the place to become such, if only temporarily, as it ranks consistently within the top three highest bird counts in the world.  Around 400 bird species have been identified in Mindo, and hummingbirds absolutely abound.  Our first stop upon arrival in town was a place that has been set up with various bird feeders around a deck, inviting numerous birds to venture up close for the viewing pleasure of tourists.  Warning: There were five cameras going for a period of 45 minutes or so.  I have trimmed down the total number of pictures taken quite drastically.  That said, there remains a rather large amount to be contained in this blog entry.  :-)

I love watching outdoor birds. And I miss seeing them. Surprisingly (or maybe not?) Ukraine has very few compared to the US.
No surprise that you have a lot there, I guess.
