Cadeate

Marsha and I make the trip to Cadeate and Olón for studies with Oscar (Cadeate) and Delia (Olón).  Since our last study is rather late at night, we appreciate that one of our friends from Guayaquil lets us stay in his "vacation" home in Cadeate.  It's a bit rustic but is quite adequate for our needs.

This list, hanging on the refrigerator, contains items like:
Make sure all the taps are turned off before going to bed at night.
Please wash sand off of your body in the yard, not in the bathroom shower.
If you damage it, please replace it.
And so on
The last item on the list in capital letters translates:
Watch out for the SCORPION.

The view from the front porch
Not bad, huh?!

Just across the yard from where we stay is the new house that our friend is currently building.  I don't think I want to climb those stairs quite yet!
