Thoughts from El Cristal convention

El Cristal
Nov. 15-17, 2019

·     If we keep ourselves in the hands of God, there is hope.
·     We were created to have fellowship with God.
·     There’s a limit to what we can do, but God wants us to go to the limit.  If we do all we can do, God will take over from there.
·     It’s good to respect the relationship that others have with God.
·     We cannot be Jesus’ friend if we don’t obey Him.
·     Human nature doesn’t reject what Moses rejected.  He rejected all that was of Egypt by faith.
·     If we don’t reject what is temporal, we can’t choose what is eternal.
·     Seeking requires effort, but the promise is that if we seek, we will find.
·     We can’t put to death the flesh by fleshly efforts.  God gives His Spirit to enable us to put to death what is of the flesh.
·     Whatever we do by faith will be right, even when it doesn’t seem to make sense.
·     If we are right, we don’t need to defend ourselves; if we are wrong, we don’t have the right to defend ourselves.
·     What happens in the place of prayer determines what will happen in the temptation.

·     Jesus entered the garden of Gethsemane sorrowful and distressed; He left the garden with peace. That’s what Pilate saw.
