Welcome to Las Mercedes!

After a brief meet-and-greet with those who happened to be nearby at the moment of their arrival and  a chance, also brief, to get somewhat settled in their quarters, the ladies got put right to work.  After all, convention starts today!  (Nov. 11)

Cleaning rice
They caught on right away!
If it looks distinctly like something other than rice, get rid of it.  If it looks like a grain of rice that's a slightly different shade of white, you get to decide which pile to push it in to.  We just don't want to give the Ecuadorian dentists TOO much business after convention!

After the rice was sorted, we had time for a little tour of the grounds.
