sick
As is true with most adjectives in Spanish, this word must agree in both number and gender with the subject it is describing.
Kamela está enferma. - Kamela is sick.
(singular, feminine)
Mi hermano está enfermo. - My brother is sick.
(singular, masculine)
Brenda y Catie están enfermas. - Brenda and Catie are sick.
(plural, feminine)
Los chicos están enfermos. - The boys are sick.
(plural, masculine)

Bueno, no todo el mundo está enfermo aunque yo de momento sí tengo gripe. No hemos viajado hoy a Ipiales como planeamos hacer. Ojalá que mañana me sienta suficiente mejor para irnos. Ya tienes suficiente español para venir al Ecuador. :-)
