It hadn't rained so much as to make the roads impassable, but this did turn out to be the last trip on this particular road for the season. The last hill was a bit treacherous, and I think we all held our breath until we finally made it, slipping and sliding, all the way up. Despite the less than ideal road conditions, however, I was delighted that we were able to go this way for Jeff's sake (as well as mine). It's absolutely gorgeous!
