On to La Mocora

Achiote sitting out to dry
(and to serve as a litter box for the cat, a pecking place for the chickens, and who knows what else...)

Don Fausto & Sra. Ana with Jeff

This is the day that Jeff made a contact.  He came back from a walk with pictures of a man and a woman that he had met while out.  The woman had been toting a long bamboo pole, and Jeff offered to help her (using some sort of sign language).  She accepted his offer, and he ended up at a house under construction.  Jeff told me that he thought the man had some questions he would like to ask, so he wanted to stop by the house on our way to San José.  As it turns out, the man was don Fausto's brother.  We didn't stay long, and he didn't really ask any questions, but he did somewhat invite us to stop by next time we were around.  I told Jeff that he could make more contacts without the language than I could with it!
