Touristing

Having spent their first week in Ecuador at preps, my guests were a little eager to do something typically touristy, so on Saturday afternoon, we headed to the Mercado Artesanal in Guayaquil to do a little souvenir shopping.

Across the street from the market is the Louis Vernaza hospital, one of several in Guayaquil

On the way home from the market, we found a taxi driver who agreed to let all five of us ride in the same vehicle.  Somehow I got elected to sit up front while these four squished into the back with all their purchases.  We laughed all the way home; I'm sure our taxi driver thought we were absolutamente locas!

Taken especially for you, Dave!
