Preserve the seed!

Our midweek bible study this week is Matt. 13:1-23.  The parable of the sower and the seed is so familiar, and yet I'm so glad for fresh truths that are real again.  In order to produce fruit, we MUST read and meditate, watch and pray.  If we read but don't meditate, it's like letting the seed lay on the surface.  Meditating helps things sink in.  Roots are found below the surface.  It's our fellowship with God in secret that will keep us grounded in difficult experiences.  Thorns are sneaky; we must watch. Anything that starts crowding into my time to read, meditate and pray must be dealt with before it gets out of control.  The seed is good.  It will produce life.  I want to do my part to protect it!
