Have you ever been asked if you would rather be blind or deaf? I really don’t know why we ask ourselves or each other questions like this, but I guess it provokes thought and stimulates conversation. Anyway, I’ve never known how to answer this particular questions. I’ve just always been glad that I don’t have to make such a choice. That said, as long as I am in Ecuador, I will be able to answer that same question with ease. I would rather be deaf!
