I don't know what happened to our road, but part of it just wasn't there on this stretch of our trip!
Our normal route goes in a straight line from where that truck in the background is to where we are as I'm taking the picture. However, as you can see, it's currently a great big gaping hole. Nice of them to create an alternate route!
