And this is why we have no pictures from our bus trip to Ayacucho

Breakfast at the terminal

I would have liked to spend a bit more time in Portoviejo as we passed through since that's where I spent a good portion of time last year.  The earthquake damaged the city quite severely, and I was curious to see what our old routes looked like.  However, since we had to be in Ayacucho by lunchtime, a tour of Portoviejo was not to be.  Instead, we just stayed in the terminal long enough for a bite of breakfast before jumping on another bus and heading on our merry way.





Little did she know, she would deeply regret this meal in the days to come!
