City tour

On Saturday, April 21, despite the off-and-on rain showers/downpours, Todd and Sarah and I took a double decker bus tour of Cuenca.

Panama hats actually come from Cuenca.

Most of the customers here are English-speakers.  The owner is Ecuadorian but worked in a restaurant in Minnesota for a while.  The food is delicious!

Apartment for rent
Anyone interested?  It looks super cute!  :-)

The old school of medicine has been converted into apartments.

We're headed up to that church on the hill that's rather hidden in the fog.

We stopped at this lookout point for half an hour or so to take pictures and shop at the little tourist stores.

Back in the Old City

Rain adds to the traffic problem.

We were the only ones to brave it out on the top deck for the whole ride.

Todd blatantly stands next to the sign that prohibits standing during the bus tour.  To be fair, we were not moving at the time.  Traffic was quite stop and go on the last leg of the tour, but they wouldn't let us get out and walk since we weren't at a designated stop.

Get your gaudy party favors here!

That's the fanciest garbage can I've ever seen!
