Day #2

A few games, a little coloring, some chatting...

Some taking pictures through the window...

And then we decided we had to just go outside and photograph some of the beauty that was all around us.

Blogger has helpfully divided my pictures by photographer instead of how I had them in "chronological" order, so I'm not going to fight it.  Here's our little walk around the Ali Shungu property.

Looking back toward our cabin through the sweet-smelling lavender

Looking up toward the big house where the lodge owners live

Heading down the back trail
Watch out for cow pies and horse droppings!

Sarah, our faithful canine friend, accompanied us on our walk.

Looking down the driveway toward the front entrance

The entrance to our cabin from the driveway

And now we'll start over...
I guess you can judge who's the better photographer this way!

And here you get your first sighting of Ivan, the Ali Shungu llama.
That's what we called him; we never learned if he had an official name.

Back in time for lunch
Rocky looks like he wants to join us.

Can you spot Ivan?
That seemed to be one of his favorite sitting spots.

The front door view again

It's just hard to say enough good things about this place!
