Mom and Kalynn are ready to go!
Fresh coconuts! Cold coconut juice!
The street in front of Sisakuna
David L. loaned us his car to get back to our hiking spot, and Dad skillfully maneuvered us along the bumpy, winding roads until we finally reached our destination.
I wonder if Dad could see more than I could at this point.
Curve to the left.
Now go right.
On this road, you don't continue in any one direction for very long.
We made it!
Does this inspire confidence???
Can you spot it coming our way?
Maybe zooming in a little will help.
Better take one last family picture just in case... :-)
We're really going out on a limb here...or I guess it's a cable.
Those cables just don't look like much compared with the surroundings!
The other end is in sight!
And now we're on our own!
This pooch traveled to the other side with us but didn't seem to be all that interested in accompanying us on our hike.
"When you're ready to come back," he said, "just hit the bale with one of these sticks, and we'll send a car for you." Quite a system!
Or Dad suggests that we could just call Llamar. :-)
And now we're ready to hike! There are a number of waterfalls that we have access to, so we'd better get started.
Giants beware!
Looks like we had a professional photographer along with us!
It's hard to see, but this step is full of ants. The biting kind.
And then we whacked the cable with a stick and sailed back across the fat wire to the other side.
We didn't see it all. Guess we'll have to come back!
