Stopping by Patricia's

Karmen and I had a plan for Saturday.

1. Leave Quito by 11:00 am at the latest.
2. Take the bus to Ibarra.
3. Leave our massive suitcase with all the things we would need later in the week at Sra. Patricia's.
4. Grab a bite of lunch if time permitted.
5. Catch a bus to Tulcán.
6. Meet up with Sra. Alicia Mera and her son, John, from Ipiales and travel across the border into Colombia with them.
7. Get spiffied up to attend a wedding reception at 7:00 pm.
8. Go to bed as early as humanly possible.

The first four items on our list got checked off in a splendid fashion.  We even left Quito earlier than we had planned!

Things started to fall apart, though not disastrously so, by #5 on the list.

By #8, we were totally and completely off track.  But more about that later.

Karmen loved Sra. Patricia's old house and took a partial photo tour of the place before we headed out to lunch and depart.

Kitchen:

The bathroom is on the left just before the stairs. The rest of the living area is to the right.

The earlier hallway creates an L with this one.
We're now standing in front of the bathroom.  The stairs are just to our left, and the kitchen is down the hall to our right.
There are two bedrooms on the left side of this hallway.  A kind of closet-room is at the end with the living room immediately to the right of it.  The doorway on the right at the front of the picture leads into what Sra. Patricia has used as the dining room and on back into her son's bedroom.

The living room remains permanently set up for meeting.
