This picture taking session as we drove through town concentrated on the initial neighborhood we drove through - decorated with indigenous patterns and designs.
This is also the section of town with an abundance of restaurants serving guinea pig.
Can you see the guinea pig that's been roasted and is ready for sale on the right side of the "stove"? Its buddies are rotating on that circular spit in the middle.
A few more roasted rodents
That gray building is the site of the evangelical church whose name translates to Rivers of Living Water. Many of our friends came out of that church before they met the workers.
Approaching the center of town
Whoever left his mark on the side of that building apparently had two right hands.
Huge storybook characters decorate the plazas for the holiday season.
Not the greatest shot of this construction site but that second story is filled with bamboo supports.
Ipiales' mall
Now we're heading out of town on the other side to see if the snow-capped volcano, Cumbal, is visible.
This stretch of road is full of people out selling gasoline illegally.
We pulled over and took a few pictures outside of town even though Cumbal was covered by clouds.
Several more of our friends left this Assembly church when they met the workers.
My favorite grocery store in Ipiales
They have a tiny little section of imported goods, and sometimes you can find good stuff there!
And thus endeth our driving tour of Ipiales, Colombia.
