Thoughts from Mt. Sterling convention
- Read the Bible to see Jesus.
- Jesus never played tug-of-war with God.
- We're glad Jesus didn't base His decisions on cost.
- God doesn't grow weary of our pleading.
- Elijah was willing to pray for what would benefit the kingdom even at great personal cost.
- Pray for those who seem strong; we can't see secret struggles.
- In order for there to be a difference, there has to be change.
- The answer for difficult times is to keep on going.
- There's a reason for every failure and a secret to every success.
- Influences of the world want to creep in, but they don't creep back out.
- Nothing of our flesh will spend eternity in heaven.
- No matter where we've been, there is a right step to take.
- Humility can take a lot and still reach out to help others. Pride is very selfish.
- Hearing and obeying God saves us from needless sorrow.
- Paying our vows brings greater joy.
- We don't know what temptations will come, but the answer is to watch and pray.
- A column is held in place by the weight it bears.
