One thing a lot of visitors comment on down here is the doors.
Kim found it highly entertaining to find Spam on the shelves of one small grocery store in Ipiales. She just had to take a picture!
Not the greatest picture, but at this apparent liquor store, you may also recharge your phone and purchase eggs.

I told Kim that when I go home and have to drive 5 or 10 minutes to a store, I'm not going to know how to handle it! Here, in town, you seldom have to walk more than a block or two to find anything that would be considered a basic necessity. I still haven't figured out how all these little corner stores are able to stay afloat when they essentially sell the same thing as five or other ten stores within a two block radius, but at the same time, it's pretty convenient for the consumer!
