Waffles and toppings for breakfast at Sra. Jeidy's
Arequipe is a typical Colombian sweet; essentially it's dulce de leche.
Ookyoung, Kamela, Brenda, Sra. Jeidy, Daniel (Sra. Jeidy's son who lives with her)
Sra. Jeidy's husband died several years ago with cancer. She has four sons. Édgar is married to Eliana and has a little boy Esteban. They live just around the corner from Sra. Jeidy. Daniel lives at home and helps his mother run their furniture store in the center of Ipiales. Mario and Santiago live farther north in Colombia.

Aunt Beth's room
All upstairs doors lock thusly from both the inside and the outside. So, that means you can use them to keep people out or to keep people in. One night, Aunt Beth, (without thinking???) locked Mom's and my room from the outside. No restroom trips that night! Fortunately, there was no fire either.
Walking to our lunch appointment from Sra. Jeidy's
We have arrived!
Jairo and Deisy's "new" wallpaper takes on a 3D effect when seen through a telephone or camera.
The three "gringas" with Jairo and Deisy and their two daughters, Sara and María José
A quick stop at the supermarket on our way back to Sra. Jeidy's
Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for supper
With the last crumbles of Grandma's monster cookies for dessert
What a lovely way to end the day!
