After one last whirlwind week in our field, Jill and I left Portoviejo on Friday, October 16 for Quito for a couple of days there before beginning convention rounds. What does a "last week in the field before leaving on convention rounds" look like?
- Packing
- Ten meetings / studies
- Packing
- Cleaning the bach
- Packing
- Sorting through stuff
- Packing
- Throwing stuff away
- Just leaving even though you have more stuff to do (You do that too, right?!)
Just to clarify: All that "packing" on the list is not a result of an extreme abundance of stuff (though we do have plenty). It's a result of having no more than approximately an hour at any given time to devote to this particular task. All in all, however, we managed quite well and even got all our stuff into the spaces it was supposed to fit into. Success!
