Jill and I spent the night with Sra. Marcolfa for the first time on Wednesday of last week. Her husband, don Alfonso, passed away a few months ago, so she's alone now. It was lovely to be with her in her home and have some quality time together.
The chickens and ducks have abundant provision right outside the front door of the house.
Jill sharpens the kitchen knives that don't work to cut butter anymore.

We're looking from the door of our bedroom toward the front door (where the light is coming through on the right). the kitchen is through the doorway in the back where you can see the brick wall.

Sra. M heads off to freeze her water. She makes ice and sells it in town on the weekends - one of several business that she runs to make a living.
