- God wants us to live in victory.
- Jesus' return shouldn't rob us of anything.
- Jesus' blood opened the way to the mercy seat and the throne of grace. We are cleansed from our sin and can go forward with power to follow Jesus.
- Experiences can remove the dross from our lives.
- It's easy to fill our lives with things that don't feed spiritual life.
- What we make provision for will grow and prosper in us.
- We can choose who influences us.
- We want to be in the place where Satan has to go through God to get to us.
- Our enemy might start out small, but he's out to devour.
- A wrong thought fed on is a sin.

Mt. Sterling Special Meeting
A special family
Saturday, February 23, Sharon R. and I made our way to a grand old farmhouse outside of Rushville, IL to spend the evening and the night with a lovely young couple and their three amazing children. The only downside was that our time there went by too quickly. I'm already looking forward to my next visit there.
Dustin watches his big brother play Angry Birds
Dustin and Fleece
Setting up a game
Fleece and her new friend, Mystic
Melanie sets the table
How is it that I never get pictures of the parents?!
:-)
In which we celebrate a special birthday and engage in other fun activities with young friends
Kate and Madelyn give me a tour of their dollhouse.
Kate helps Sharon with a difficult word
Engrossed in a good book
Look at those eyes!
Happy birthday, Kate!
And with a mighty puff, the flame is extinguished.
Delicious cupcakes on princess plates
It doesn't get much better than that!
Madelyn's gift to the workers
A bit random, perhaps, but have you ever seen such an adorable little honey bear???
At first, Madelyn is involved in her Archie comic book
But she is soon won over to our fascinating book about zoo animals
A parting note from Madelyn
And Kate makes sure I leave nothing behind.
This is the list of things I am supposed to remember to take with me when I go.
I think I got it all!
:-)
Special Treat
All winter, I had been waiting for the day when we would have enough snow to make snow ice cream. Finally, it happened! I'm not sure the folks I was with were all that enthused about the idea, definitely not as much as I was, anyway, but we ended up finishing every bit of the delicious concoction. And no, I was not the only one to eat it!
Egg, cream, sugar, vanilla mixture waiting to be combined with freshly-fallen snow
Mixing
Do not be afraid of this yellow snow. It will be delicious!
Fleece looks longingly at my bowl of snow cream.
Crazy???
So what does one do when one has just safely arrived at their night's destination after a harrowing trip through a mini-blizzard? Does the answer, "Go for a walk" cone to your mind? If so, pat yourself on the back. You're a winner!
From the inside looking out
Doesn't look too bad, right?
A shot down the street
Someone's been down this alley recently.
Footprints in the snow (mine)
Can a person ever get too many of snow-covered branches?
I think not.
Here are just a couple.
The brave outdoorswoman has returned, rosy-cheeked and ready for a nice warm supper.
Crazy? Perhaps.
But how could a person pass up such a winter adventure?
