· Jesus didn’t stand out because He was trying to be different; He stood out because He was one with His Father.
· When we see Jesus, we see the character of God.
· Learning to sit at the feet of Jesus brings balance into our thinking.
· When we give thanks, we don’t want eloquent words; we want weighty words – words that mean something to us.
· Sitting at the feet of Jesus will help us know how to serve.
· All of our “no’s” give weight and confirmation to what we’ve said yes to.
· Caring for others helps us know how to help them.
· Our power to be a good example is in submission.
· We want to have a committed relationship with the Lord, not a crisis relationship.
· Faith is a gift that God gives to people who will listen to Him.
· If today you feel more needy than you ever have before, if today you feel less capable than you ever have before, if today you feel more confident in the power of God than you ever have before, you have grown.
· The author of pride is also the author of discouragement.
· A river in its banks is serviceable; a river out of its banks is destructive.
· We don’t want to live with a big question mark over our life and testimony.
· It takes a lot of honesty and effort to have good soil.
· Jealously guard your prayer time.
· Jesus suffered being outside the love of God for us.
· Praising God removes hardness and bitterness from our hearts.
· If we keep our eyes on the goal, we don’t have to worry so much about what we can’t see.
· Strength from God comes through fellowship with Him.
· Dreading God’s will is a terrible burden.
· Ananias and Saphira were in tune with each other, but not with the Spirit of God. The result was tragic.
