Charleston: A quick tour

The day was cold.  School was delayed for Little Girl #1 and cancelled for Little Girl #2.  So after putting LG #1 on the school bus, LG #2, Mommy, Connie and I headed for a quick tour of downtown Charleston.  Due to the chilly temperatures, most of the tour took place in the car.  Though taking pictures from the back seat of a moving vehicle is not an ideal way to capture the "feel" of a place, it didn't stop me from clicking away.  Here's a sampling of what we saw.

Charleston City Market
Still seasonally operational

US Custom House
The ocean is directly behind it.

We did get out of the car at the waterfront.

Now we're getting back in the car for a driving tour of Charleston's downtown residential district.  Although you won't really be able to tell from the pictures, the houses are absolutely amazing.  I highly recommend a visit if you ever get the chance.
