Jenny C. and I headed toward Alma after the Southfield Special Meeting on Sunday. Our visits that evening were full of Illinois and Indiana connections. We stayed that night with a lovely little family. The little girls were bouncing with excitement that the workers were at their house. They were especially enthused to see Jenny, who had been in their field for several years previously. We had a nice visit and some good entertainment before making our way to bed that night.
The next morning, we had a delicious breakfast with Mom and the two girls before heading off to school in the van. On the way, following the morning tradition, everyone in the vehicle picked a hymn and we sang a verse of each from memory. The girls joined in heartily.
It's beautiful to see such wholesomeness. No matter what we choose for ourselves later on in life, we cannot really ever escape what was put into us as children. It's wonderful that there are those who are seeking the counsel of God in the matter of parenting and daily living.

And while in the Alma area, I wonder if you were at the home of my former college roommate?
And the folks up at Alma are quite dear to me, too! Oooooo. I'm glad you were there!
