Cumbal Sunday

Cumbal is a town nestled at the foot of a snow-capped active volcano bearing the same name, just under an hour's drive from Ipiales.  There are two professing couples who live near this town, so we make it out there a couple of times a month or so.  Sunday, October 8, was our scheduled date to go, so we arranged with don Freddy from Ipiales to take us in his car.

We were on our way out of town when don Freddy asked if we had been to the lagoon.  We had not, so we decided to take a quick touristic side trip before heading back to Ipiales.

There's a spot outside Ipiales known for it's roasted cuyes.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, however you choose to look at it, we already had lunch plans.
