North to Ibarra

On Tuesday, May 30, after a decent night's sleep, don Gonzalo Túquerres drove Lilia Latorre and me from Quito to Ibarra, where we would have the midweek bible study, supper and the night with our one professing friend in that city.

Can you see snow-capped Cayambe?

Clearer here?

We stopped at a roadside "restaurant" for lunch.

"Habas" for an appetizer
The most comparable food I can think of to habas are lima beans.

It is for me.  Yes, all for me.
I did remarkably well, but I did NOT eat everything on my plate.

Almost looks like home from this angle
