Passing through Babahoyo, you can still notice quite a bit of earthquake damage, though it should be noted that not everything that looks like earthquake damage is actually earthquake damage.  It's just how it is.

Now, on the other side of Babahoyo, the sign tells us it's 33 km on to Montalvo, and from there it's another half an hour or so before we get to El Cristal.
