A few thoughts from Quito

• Do we listen (in meeting) to apply what we hear to others or to ourselves?

• Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot have a clear vision.

• Good works do not make us worthy.

• If our peace does not originate with the Prince of Peace, it has no value.

• The word of God has power if it is accompanied by the Holy Spirit.

• The greatest manifestation of God's power is not in eradicating all that is evil in the world but rather in working the virtues of Christ into His people in the midst of all that is evil in the world.

• The moment we put a price on what God has given us, the enemy will pay it.

• We want to protect what is precious.

• When we are tried by the fire, it will become evident what kind of faith we have.

• It is the life behind the sacrifice that gives value to the sacrifice.

• Fellowship with God and fellowship with others go together.

• Our connection with the source must be the most important thing in our life.

• Others could enjoy the connection that Joseph had with God because of the fruit that it produced in his life.

• After the children of Israel had traveled through the wilderness for two years, God was ready to bring them into the Promised Land.  Their lack of faith and disobedience was very costly.

• It's lovely to be in the presence of others who have conquered giants in their own lives, but that doesn't make us partakers of the inheritance.

• We will never win an argument with God.  He doesn't make mistakes.
