May 31

It seems like we just can't stop ourselves from taking pictures every time we step outside!

Orange trees on the grounds

That little oven down there is our principal oven.  You gingerly open and close the door (with a hotpad if the oven is on!) since it was recently replaced after the original glass door exploded prior to preps.  You turn the knob on the bottom right slightly to the left and stick your hand containing the lighter inside the oven.  Keep turning the knob until the flame jumps to life, missing your eyebrows by a centimeter or so.  Remove your hand and adjust the flame as you see fit.  There's no thermometer.  Don't you know what a 350-degree flame looks like?!

Aunt Beth and I tackle the bathroom directly off the kitchen.

No, there's no hope of rubbing the black off the bottom of these pots!

Have you ever seen a chicken tree?

Magy feeds Martín.

It rather looks like she's expecting something to come jumping / crawling / slithering out at her!  And something very possibly might!

Relaxing for a minute

The Howden family from Canada spent a couple of days with us.
We greatly appreciated their help.
