Echeandía

Every other Monday morning, we have four Bible studies in the town of Echeandía before heading back to Guayaquil (a four-hour or so bus ride) in the afternoon.

Silvana is a veterinary doctor and has a little store near the edge of town that sells whatever your farm animal needs.  We study with her at her place of business.

Milton and Luís work at for the water department.  Luís is an accountant, and I'm not sure what Milton does.  We study in Luís's office in between business interruptions.

Olmedo and Norma own one of two Blue Cross pharmacies on the town square.  Their daughter, Cynthia, and her daughter, Camila Valentina, live with them above the pharmacy.  Olmedo has had both legs amputated and has serious kidney problems.  We study with them in their home.

Sra. Bélgica lives "at the pools" outside of town.  The pools are a tourist attraction, though I've never seen any tourists there.  I think they must come on the weekends.  Sra. Bélgica ALWAYS wants to feed us!
