Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I believe that.  I also believe that life in general is more beautiful when we're able to see beauty in little things, ordinary things, things we see every day and have just gotten used to.  Maybe there's nothing stunning or breathtaking about it, but if we look just a little closer, really consider it, we see that there's beauty in it nonetheless.  Maybe it requires some effort to find beauty sometimes - in a rainy day, a barren field, a dirty city street.  But, I assure you, it's there.  And I believe it's worth looking for.
