GO TO A MUSEUM
Alas, I took no picture inside the museum. It probably wasn't allowed; I don't remember. Anyway, the Illinois State Museum, located in downtown Springfield, is a much overlooked attraction. There is no admission, though donations are accepted. The museum features exhibits focusing on the land, life, people and art of Illinois.
