At cloud level

On our last trip to Ibarra, the clouds were hanging low in the valleys, which I thought was very picturesque.  Here are a few of my attempts to capture the perfect photo through the not-so-clean window of a moving bus.  

Can you find the errors?

Our Haitian friend, Immanuel, who teaches English at Academic English in Ibarra, asked me to help him create an answer key for the test that he was giving to his students.  I didn't have much time, so I was whipping through the pages rather quickly.  However, I did run across two mistakes in the test itself as I skimmed through.  Can you find them?

Laura

We got to see Laura C one more time before she returned to the States, at a Bible study in Ibarra on Friday, March 24.  She brought three of her sisters and a nephew.  After the study, we ate supper together at the restaurant downstairs that is owned by Sra. Patricia's son.  It was nice to have a little more time together.

A note from the cat

Ookyoung found this note in Abigail's bedroom and shared it with me.

"Hello, Mommy.  I'm clean now.  My grandma gave me a bath and I promise that I won't get dirty.  Sincerely, Cat"

Puerres

Yesterday, Ookyoung and I visited the town of Puerres, about half an hour or so from Ipiales in order to meet a new contact.  Nelly López works with one of our friends in construction and had expressed her dissatisfaction with her life as it presently is as well as with her religious experiences.  Last November, our friend, Óscar, invited her to attend a day of convention in Ipiales, and upon accepting the invitation, Nelly liked what she heard.  Because of transportation difficulties, she isn't able to attend our Sunday evening gospel meetings in Ipiales, so we arranged to study with her in her home on a weekly basis.  Sometimes we will be able to go on Saturday afternoon after she is done with work.  Other weeks, we'll have to go during her lunch break.  After our first study yesterday, we were very encouraged by her response and look forward to continuing our visits in Puerres.  Again, we marvel at how God brings people into contact with His truth in so many different ways.  He certainly knows what He's doing!

It wasn't Mom's lasagna, but it was a very welcome menu change.
