The sunset of life is approaching

Driving down to Quincy on Thursday, we encountered a gorgeous sunset.  Pictures can't do it justice, but I did take a few from the car.  It seemed so appropriate that we would see such a magnificent one on the way to bid a final farewell to a good friend whose life's sunset was truly beautiful.

Life's evening sun is sinking low;
A few more years and I must go
To meet the deeds that I have done,
Where there will be no setting sun.

Well, okay then

A little time at Karmen's

...and can you believe these are the only pictures I took?!  Somehow it seems like you're going to have a long time on the front end of things.  Then the time flies by, and you wonder where it went and how it is that you didn't get more accomplished.  Anyway, my brief R & R was much appreciated even if it did not get highly pictorially recorded.

A condensed look at the last week of IL Special Meeting rounds 2013

Monday, Mar. 4 - Workers' Meeting in Burr Ridge
Tuesday, Mar. 5 - Spanish Special Meeting in Cicero
Wednesday. Mar. 6 - Bible Study in Burr Ridge
Sunday, Mar. 10 - Special Meeting in Willowbrook

All in all, our Special Meeting rounds were wonderful.  Many helpful things were shared, both in meetings and in visits.  We're grateful for those who came from other states to help us as well as for those on our own staff who continue to pay the price to have and be bread.  God's people have the best of everything!
