Happy Leap Day!
My poor computer didn't know what to do. It sent me back to Dec. 31, 2000. With a little manual adjustment, however, we're back on track.

Special phone calls
My friend, Valerie G, has been visiting some of my favorite little friends in the Decatur, IL area this week. Last night, she called me from the Hoots' home, and I got to talk to my buddies, Sam and Adrian. It was so good to hear their voices. I can tell they're growing up a lot. Tonight, she was at the Klepzig home, and so I got to chat with my good friend, Gwendolyn. The last I saw her, she said a few words. Now she has a whole vocabulary! It's amazing how much it means to hear little voices say, "I love you" and "I miss you." Before long, they're all grown up and have very few memories of this time in their life. I, however, will not forget these little people and my time with them in the near future. Life is about growing up and going on, but I'm glad we can keep memories with us as we go.
"Hey, Camelope!"
Yes, that's the newest variation of my name, given to me by three-year-old Payson. I spent this past Saturday evening at the Amos home in a suburb of Indianapolis. Payson has a brother, Brentin, who is a year and half. Oh yeah, there are some parents as well. :-) We had a highly energetic evening. I've never participated in so much indoor rough-housing. We played football, danced, chased each other around, wrestled, and some other things I'm sure I've forgotten. I nearly felt like a brother worker! I love how children love us when we come into their homes. We don't have to do or be anything special. They just take our hand and say, "Come play." And how can you not??
Puzzle time
I loved to listen to the little conversation Payson had with himself before he put each puzzle piece in. It went something like this:
"Where do you go? Do you go right here? Yes you do!"
Very cute and entertaining!

Rushville Special Meeting
The living room set up for meeting
Here are a few things that we heard:
- What we hide in our hearts can't be taken from us.
- The more we receive from God, the more the enemy wants to take it away.
- The children of Israel would have all rejoiced on the other side of the Red Sea, but in their daily living, they began to doubt.
- God never begins something He won't finish.
- When we lack faith, we take away God's opportunity to show His power.

Thoughts please
What do you think of this statement? Is it accurate? Worded in the best possible way?
Freedom is more binding than bondage.

Time with the Waglers
Making cookies
There was no school on Monday, so we got involved in a baking project per request of daughter #1. Daughter #2 suggested baking a cake, but daughter #1 declared that a cake was not complicated enough. The final decision was to make sugar cookies. Not horribly complicated, as it turns out, but quite yummy.

Reminiscing
Being in southwest Indiana again brought back many memories of my time there three years ago. I love that little corner of the state and the people who live there. I have enjoyed going through the pictures I took when I was there three years ago, so I'll share a few of them here.
